You Are Never Alone
Joshua 1:9
I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.
Trust and rest in God. You will find comfort in his light and love. Haven’t there been times in your life when you are totally out of sorts, feeling lost, and cried out in your spirit to God for the way out? Then a path opened up? Did you choose the that path from your heartfelt prayer, or did you go your own usual way? Did you use your own usual reasoning and get further lost? When you accepted your way and the path was a dead-end, did it make your life better? Worse? Did you listen to voices of the world or did you hear the inner voice, the Holy Spirit in your being, the one that revealed a different path? Which one is you? Which voice do you listen to?

In the New International Version (NIV), Joshua 1:9 states, “…Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” There are dozens more verses with the same sentiment that you are never alone.
Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Not only does the Lord go with you, he goes before you and makes crooked paths straight; He fights your battles before you even know they are present. Isn’t that great?! You just have to rest in God, trust in God, be still and listen to God. Make a daily practice of this habit and soon you will rarely feel alone, or lonely. Peace and good things will come your way and you can start choosing better paths- the right path that God has made for you.
